Sonos Introduces the BU130 Bundle

Today Sonos introduced a new bundle of some of their coolest music gear. The Sonos BU130 includes the Sonos ZonePlayer 80 (ZP80), One Sonos Zone Player 100 (ZP100), and one Sonos Controller 100 (CR100).

Together this new bundle allows owners to wirelessly stream music to two rooms and control the music from anywhere. The price for the BU130 is $999, certainly not cheap. The ZP80 is the component of the system that attaches to your stereo or home theater, making it part of the digital music system.

The ZP100 is the component that attaches to speakers in any room and the CR100 is the wireless multi-room remote control allowing you to control the tunes from anywhere in your home.

“Sonos strives to make it easy for consumers to purchase, set up and enjoy music all over the house with our wireless digital music system," said John MacFarlane, CEO of Sonos. “This new bundle is the best value for a music lover to enjoy music in two rooms and control it all from the palm of their hand.”

While the price of $999 is certainly no small amount, it represents a 20% discount off what the same components would cost if purchased separately. Buyers wanting a pair of Sonos loud speakers can opt to add those to the bundle bringing the total for the BU130 with loudspeaker to $1149. Sonos has also lowered the price of the charging cradle to $39.99. Previous bundles BU101 and BU80 are being discontinued. Story and image via Sonos.
