State and local governments this week resumed a push to lobby Congress for net taxes in the U.S.
The call for a nation-wide sales tax on internet shopping is an understandable request. One senator is though predicting taxes on e-mail. If the prohibition on Internet taxes expires then citieis and towns could tax even e-mail or other aspects of Internet access. Very unlikely, but the discussion is on again about net taxes.
Another tax that is discussed is linked to internet access. Local and State governments could impose a tax on your DSL connection.
