Keep Your Cell and iPod Going on the Road with USB Power Backup

There are few things more disturbing for a geek than getting out of your home or office and realizing that your phone or MP3 player is about to go dead. Every time I get out and realize my phone is going to go dead any second, it seems I am waiting for an important call.

A small 70x50x12mm gadget from Brando can keep you powered up with a 2400mAh rechargeable battery that puts its juice out through a standard 5V USB output. That means that you can keep any device that is capable of charging via USB running.

The USB Power Backup comes in two colors, black or white and sells for only $20 making for some cheap insurance against missing calls. The internal battery of the charger takes three hours to fully charge and a built-in short circuit or over discharge circuit keeps your gear safe. via Brando
