Pandigital is introducing a new line of digital picture frames and accessories for the frames. The new line of frames offer support for the optional Bluetooth and WiFi adapters that allow images to be sent wirelessly from your PC or Bluetooth enabled cell phone.
One of the biggest problems with wireless frames for some users is that they need to be plugged into an outlet, which makes them difficult to hang on a wall. Pandigital is also introducing a rechargeable battery pack for their new line of frames with a three-hour battery life that allows for a totally wireless package.
“Our new digital photo frames extend the functionality of our existing line, while maintaining an easy-to-use design and superior styling that looks great in the home or office," said Dean Finnegan, president, Pandigital. "Our wireless and battery accessories let our customers choose an extra capability they want without having it imposed on them. Plus, the new simple-to-use features, such as the clock and calendar, allow customers to enjoy their frames even more.”
All the new frames have built-in six-in-1 media readers for SD, XD, Memory Stick, Memory Stick Pro/duo, CF, and MMC. The frames can also direct connect to PictBridge cameras and PCs via USB.
The top-of-the-line frame is the Pandigital 15” with 256MB of onboard memory, 1024x768 resolution and a MSRP of $299.99. The 11” version has the same 256MB of memory, an 800 x 480 resolution and a MSRP of $229.99. Next is a 10.4” frame with 256MB of memory, 800 x 600 resolution and a $249.99 MSRP. Moving down a step is the 9” with 256MB of memory, 800 x 480 resolution and a MSRP of $179.99. A 8” version sports 128MB of memory with a 800 x 480 resolution at an MSRP of $149.99. The 7” version has 128Mb of storage as well with a 480 x 234 screen resolution and a MSRP of $129.99 and the final version is a 6” model with 128MB of storage and a 410 x 234 resolution at a price of $119.99.
The optional Bluetooth adapter sells for $39.99 and will be available in July, the WiFi adapter carries a MSRP of $49.99 and is set for August availability, and the battery pack sells for $49.99 and is set for August availability. All the digital frames come with a black and a cherry decorative frame to match more room styles. Via Pandigital
