The iPhone hacking community managed to gain shell access on the Apple iPhone.
The hack involves connecting via the serial interface of the iPhone and sending some commands to gain shell access on the OS X variant of the iPhone.
Instructions can be found on Hackint0sh.
As reported DVD Jon managed to activate iPhones without connecting to AT&T.
An interactive shell of course makes hacking the iPhone more convenient. I wonder when Apple is hitting the breaks (if they even can) on iPhone exploits.
