Sony Computer Entertainment Europe (SCEE) today announced the availability of the Sony PS3 Starter Pack bundle in Europe.
The Sony PS3 Starter Pack includes a PS3 console, two first party games and two SIXAXIS wireless controllers, at €599 (~$825).
The Sony 60GB PS3 sells for €599 right now in Europe. The PS3 Starter Pack is pretty much the equivalent of the U.S. Sony PS3 price-cut when you calculate the value of two games and the extra SIXAXIS controller.
The games bundled with the starter pack will vary between countries.
The Sony PS3 Starter Pack is going to be available from today in Europe (SCEE territories) and in all territories by 1st August. Not sure if all territories includes the U.S.
"With sell through of over 1.2 million units in the SCEE territories to date, PLAYSTATION 3 has proved to be an instant and huge success", said David Reeves, President of Sony Computer Entertainment Europe.
