Europe Sony President David Reeves says in an interview with GamesIndustry.biz that the new low price for the 60GB Sony PS3 is only available until the stock sells out.
Update:
Sony America denies that the 60GB Sony PS3 is phasing out. More details here.
After the 60GB Sony PS3 consoles are gone the new 80GB Sony PS3 will be the new standard model selling for $599 including MotorStorm.
Reeves confirms that the 60GB Sony PS3 will run out in the U.S.
That is pretty interesting information. The only thing that I think speaks against this is that the only PS3 available would be a bundle. I cannot imagine that this can be it. It does not make sense to force consumers to get MotorStorm.
It is Summer, but still it might be a good idea to buy a Sony PS3 now for $499.99 including 6 free Blu-ray movies and a free Blu-ray Remote on Amazon.com now.
