Alienware Offers SSD RAID and SSD & HDD Options

I have had the chance to check out some of the fantastic machines from Alienware in the past and they typically use the best hardware available. While they are normally far from inexpensive, the Alienware computers certainly perform well.

Today Alienware announced that they are now offering SSD drives as storage options in their Area-51 m9750, Aurora m9700 and Area-51 m5550 notebooks. Not only can you get a single 32GB SSD if you want, but you can opt for a 32GB SSD RAID setup.

Those needing more storage space can also get a single 32GB SSD and a 200GB 7200RPM SATA drive for storage. "Alienware's new flash-based solid state drive solutions dramatically accelerate performance for mobile storage applications," said Bryan de Zayas, Associate Director of Product Marketing at Alienware. "From blazing load times to rock-solid durability, all the essential features that customers look for in a notebook are maximized in Alienware mobile systems loaded with solid state drives."
