Hyundai Tiburon Replacement will be RWD, V8 a Possibility

Motor Trend is reporting that information is leaking out of Korea and confirming that the replacement for the current Hyundai Tiburon will be a rear wheel drive car. The new Tiburon will be based on Hyundai’s upcoming Genesis platform which will be shared amongst several models.

One of the models that will share the Genesis platform along with the Tiburon’s replacement is a sedan to battle the BMW 5 series. The really interesting part about the new sedan is that a V8 will be optional.

That opens the door for Hyundai to cram the V8 under the hood of the Tiburon replacement. If Hyundai did put a V8 into the sporty Tiburon style vehicle with RWD we could be looking at a competitor to the iconic American muscle car the Ford Mustang. Via Motor Trend
