Apple raced to issue a security update for the iPhone to be available just a day before the iPhone takeover hack is detailed at the Black Hat Hacker conference in Las Vegas.

The iPhone 1.0.1 update includes Safari browser fixes in the area of cross-site scripting and arbitrary code execution from malicious web pages. Apple released also yesterday security updates for Mac OS X 10.3.9, Mac OS X 10.4.10 and Safari 3 Beta.
