Hitachi already teased us a week ago with an announcement that they will release Blu-ray disc digital camcorder. Now Hitachi officially announced the DZ-BD7H and DZ-BD70 Blu-ray camcorder.
Update:
Hitachi Blu-ray Camcorder available on Amazon.com
The Hitachi DZ-BD7H records full HD video onto Blu-ray and a 30GB HDD. The Hitachi DZ-BD70 is only recording onto Blu-ray.
You can record about 1 hour of full HD video onto 8cm Blu-ray disc. The world's first Blu-ray camcorders also still support recording standard video onto DVDs.
The new Hitachi DZ-BD7H and DZ-BD70 will start selling in Japan on August 30, 2007. The US and Europe are supposed to get the Blu-ray camcorders in October.
See a video and photos from the Japanese Hitachi press-event on AkihabaraNews.
More details about the new BD camcorder can be found on the DZ-BD7H and DZ-BD70 product page (Japanese).
