The new Nikon D90 DSLR camera is apparently moving closer to release. Rumors of the D90 appearing in inventory systems at Circuit City (Nikon Rumors) and Best Buy (Engadget) have appeared in the last couple of days. The rumors point to a release of September 7th, but it also could just be that Nikon will announces the new camera on that day.

Nikon D90 officially announced
The Nikon D90 is supposed to have 12MP resolution and is apparently going to sell for $1,299 with a 105mm f/3.5-5.6G DX VR lens.
David Bush has published on his Nikon Guides site a lot of details on the Nikon D90. He suggests that the Nikon D90 is ideal for those who want to upgrade from a D40 or D80, but are not yet ready to go semi-pro with a Nikon D300.
The Nikon D90 supposedly has GPS, live view and video recording features.
