Kingston Launches 1GB SD, USB, miniSD, microSD Mobility Kit

Kingston announced today that their new Mobility Kit that combines USB drive, SD card, microSD and miniSD into one kit will soon be available. Immediately available is a 1GB kit with a 2GB version coming soon.

"With our Mobility Kit at their fingertips, consumers can store their entire mobile life - photos, songs, text messages, video clips, and contact info on the microSD card and then work with it seamlessly across multiple device platforms," said Wendy Lecot, Flash memory marketing manager, Kingston. "The combined convenience of miniSD and full-size SD adapters and USB reader lets users easily convert their cards to navigate between mobile phones, PCs, and other digital devices," added Lecot.

The 1GB kit carries a low MSRP of $27 with pricing for the 2GB kit to be determined. Last week PNY made an announcement of a very similar product with 1GB of storage for $29.99 and a 2GB version available for $49.99. Note: I made an error in this post with respect to the pricing of the PNY products and their capacities. The error has now been corrected.
