The watch stores data to help wearers reach their personal fitness goals and interfaces wirelessly with other components of the system like a heart rate monitor or a foot pod monitor that records speed and distance.
The Forerunner 50 includes a wireless USB ANT stick that plugs into your Pc and downloads data from the watch without wires. The only thing you have to do to initiate sync is get the watch close to the USB ANT.
The Forerunner 50 can track up to seven hours and 100 laps of detailed data. The Foot Pod accessory can track how long you run on a treadmill or how you walk in a day at work. The Forerunner 50 watch and ANT USB stick cost $99, the watch with the ANT and foot Pod retails for $149 and the watch with ANT, Foot Pod and Heart Rate Monitor goes for $199.
