French PMP maker Archos is expected to announce its 6th Generation of portable media players soon. Their homepage shows a red curtain with "Coming up Soon..." message.

New Archos 5g, 5 and 7 announced
Rumors point to new Archos PMPs with HSDPA connectivity. This rumor is based on a deal Archos made in February with French carrier SFR.
Portable Media Players that are not from Apple have to offer unique capabilities to attract enough customers. Archos managed to offer regularly high performance devices with advanced features. It will be exciting to see where the next generation of Archos players is going.
