Philips is going to ship a new universal remote control in September dubbed Prestigo SRU8015.
The new SRU8015 universal control features color TV channel icon based channel list. As with the excellent SRU9600 the SRU8015 has an integrated product database with Ir codes. The SRU8015 lets you manage 15 devices.
Compared to the SRU9600 the design slightly changed. The only obvious difference of the scroll-wheel sporting remote is the icon based TV channel menu.
Philips managed with the SRU9600 to offer a balance between complexity and functionality. I have the SRU9600 in constant use in my home theater setup. The SRU8015 looks like a nice upgrade. The Philips SRU9600 is available in these stores.
The price of the Philips Prestigo SRU8015 is supposed to be 140 Euro (~$191).
