Amazon.com already started to offer the new Canon flag-ship SLR camera yesterday for pre-order. Today Canon officially announced the Canon EOS-1Ds Mark III Digital SLR camera. Amazon.com has already stopped the pre-order and now just lists the new EOS 1Ds.
The Canon 1Ds is still a while away and as the press-release states has not cleared the FCC yet.
Features of the 21.1MP Canon EOS 1Ds Mark III camera include five-frame-per-second (fps) shooting rate for bursts of up to 56 Large/Fine (21-megapixel) JPEGS or 12 RAW images, 3 inch, 230,000-pixel wide angle LCD display screen with Live View and seven brightness settings, sRAW mode, 35-zone metering system, 45-point AF and integrated Self-Cleaning Sensor Unit.
The Canon EOS-1Ds Mark III professional digital single lens reflex camera is scheduled to begin shipping in November and will have an estimated selling price of $7,999.
