Medis Technologies announced today that they will be showing off their fuel cell power pack for phones and other small gadgets at the Intel Developers Forum on September 18, 19 and 20th in San Francisco, California.
The Medis 24/7 Fuel Cell Power Pack for handheld devices will be demonstrated and a development program for a higher output 20 Watt fuel cell product will be talked about. The current fuel cell will deliver 20-30 hours of power to mobile devices and the 20 watt solution is being designed for laptop computer use. The current fuel cell device supplies 3.6 to 5.45 volts and up to 1 Watt of power and measures in at 3.8” x 2.67” x 1.44”. It is worn on the belt like a pager.
"Innovation' in the power sources industry is essential to realize the vision of all day and beyond of untethered mobile computing," said Kamal Shah, Mobility Enabling Initiative Manager, Mobile Platforms Group, Intel Corporation.
