"Samsung have proven that they are quite capable of dominating the LCD monitor market, due to strengths in their own LCD-panel manufacturing facilities, and excellent product design and engineering. Though, as prices for LCD monitors are still quite high, typically above the $500/panel price point, competition remains fierce. Faced with cheaper and less expensive competition from companies who integrate LCD screens into custom shells, or simply slap a logo on a OEM display, Samsung have taken important steps to differentiate their products from cookie-cutter 17" and 19" LCD screens. They have accomplished this by mainly embracing the multimedia LCD monitor - and doing it right."
