Crunch Gear says they received a tip over the weekend from a HTC employee that claims Google is finalizing the HTC model choice for their Google Phone.
Google is supposedly looking at 20 different HTC models and refining the final handset design. The phone is said to have a special version of Google Maps that works with the built-in GPS.
Compatibility with Gmail and Google calendar are rumored as well. One neat feature is Google Talk, which is an application that would allow the phone to act as a VOIP handset as well. Word is that the phone may use Windows Mobile 6 or some version of a Linux OS.
