The coolest R2-D2 replica on this planet is now selling from gadget shop Hammacher and Schlemmer.
Nikko introduced the Home Theater Star Wars R2-D2 in June. The highlights of this R2-D2 are the DLP projection system with 1,500:1 contrast and SVGA resolution (1024x728px), DVD/CD player, Apple iPod docking station, two 20-watt built-in speakers and a Millennium Falcon shaped remote control.
Hammacher sells the must have Star Wars fan gadget for $2,799.95.
The expected shipping date is September 28th.
Measurements of the R2-D2 Home Theater System are 20 1/2" H x 13 1/2" diameter and the weight is 14 lbs.
