TomTom launched a new edition of the TomTom One this week called the TomTom One 3rd Edition. The new portable GPS device comes in at a very reasonable price of $249 and includes navigation software and other accessories.
The device uses touchscreen technology for ease of use and incorporates TomTom Map Share technology allowing users to mark roads as blocked or closed and allows for updates to street names. The touchscreen is a 3.5” 320 x 240 resolution and the device has 1GB of internal memory.
Basic navigation features include maps and the capability to reroute you if you miss a turn or hit a block. The device is slated to be available in September 2007 and has available accessories to allow real-time traffic updates. Other accessories include a carry case, USB charger and more. The internal rechargeable battery allows for two hours of portable operation.
