Samsung announces that they managed to get three of their mobile phones listed in the new Guinness World Records 2008 book (available on Amazon.com).

With 5.9mm the Samsung SGH-U100 holds the current Guinness record of the World's thinnest mobile phone. The Samsung SCH-B600 holds the Guinness record for the highest photo resolution in a mobile phone. The SCH-B600 has a 10MP resolution. The B600 was actually introduced back in 2006, but there is apparently no mobile phone with a higher resolution out there yet.

The Samsung SGH-Z370 is the world's thinnest 3G mobile phone measuring 8.4mm.

Gadget records like these tend to hold up only for a very short time. It is better to check our site to keep up with these records and not with a printed book.
