Each of the loud speakers uses two high-definition balanced dual surround system (BDSS) 5 ¼” drivers pressure coupled to a pair of 5” x 8” oval planar medite low-bass radiators. This offers a total bass radiating area greater than that of a 12” subwoofer.
The Pure Aluminum dome tweeter is the same unit used in the Mythos ST SuperTowers and incorporates a new voice coil, dome and surround. The enclosure of the Mythos 10 speaker is made from hand-polished aircraft-grade extruded aluminum. The speakers can be used as either a front left/right or center channel speaker. The Mythos 10 speaker will be available in October 2007 at $899.95 each.
