Sanyo announced a new 1080p LCD front projector at CEDIA called the PLV-Z2000. The projector has some impressive specifications with 1200 lumens of brightness and a contrast ratio of 15,000:1.
Sanyo says the projector also has a new lens shifting system and the industries quietest fan. The projector will be available in October for $2995.99. The screen resolution is full HD at 1920 x 1080 and deep colors are provided by the Sanyo exclusive Topaz Real HD technology that addresses change in color phase and color level to obtain perfect color reproduction.
The projector also uses a new DIOS optical system that increases reliability over traditional 3LCD projectors. The projector can throw an image of 100-inches from ten to twenty feet away. Connectivity options include dual HDMI 1.3 ports, dual component inputs, D-sub, composite and S-Video. The projector weighs 16 pounds and measures 15.75” W x 5.75” H x 13.62” D.
