The news of new projectors continues to flow out of CEDIA Expo 2007. the latest company to announce a new projector is Epson with their PowerLite Pro Cinema 1080 UB. This projector uses the new 3LCD chip technology using the new D7 chip set with C2Fine.
Epson says the new C2Fine inorganic substrate used allows the projector to produce deep black levels to deliver better picture quality. Naturally the projector does full HD 1080p and it features two HDMI 1.3 inputs.
The projector uses lens shift technology for more installation options and it ships with a spare lamp and a ceiling mount. Epson hasn’t released specific pricing yet, but promises to deliver the projector in the sub-$5000 price range.
