Palm launched a new Treo model today running Windows Mobile 6 for Vodafone customers called the Treo 500v. The device uses high-speed 3G/UMTS mobile web access. Initially the new phone will be exclusively available from Vodafone starting in October.
Other features for the 500v include a full keyboard, large 320 x 240 screen with 16-bit color, and a 2MP camera. The battery is good for 10 days standby time and up to 4.5 hours of talk time. Internal memory is 256MB and memory is expandable via microSD cards.
Bluetooth 2.0 + EDR is included and it supports mono and stereo headsets. The radio features GSM/GPRS/UMTS with GSM bands of 900/1800/1900 and the UMTS band is 2100. The phone is compatible with Windows XP and Windows Vista only.
