Cobra announced a new radar detector today called the XRS-R9G that features a wireless remote controlled radar/laser detector with speed and red light camera location alerts. This radar detector is the first available in the U.S. that features a built-in GPS locator.
The GPS locator provides information on speed and red light camera locations with updates available via the Cobra website. The wireless remote allows the unit to be hidden out of site to prevent theft and the detector uses Xtreme Range Superheterodyne Maximum Performance 12 Band Technology with Laser Eye.
This technology is claimed to ensure detection of the fastest radar and laser guns including POP mode. The XRS-R9G with GPs locator retails for $449.95 and the same device without the GPs locator is called the XRS R7, which retails for $349.95.
