In July we reported on the BlackBerry 8820 and mentioned that AT&T customers would be the first to get hands on the new device. Today AT&T announced that the BlackBerry 8820 would go on sale tomorrow, September 20, at AT&T stores.
The 8820 features built-in WiFi for an additional charge owners can use it at over 10,000 AT&T hotspots nationwide. The phone is a quad band device that works in over 135 countries. Supported WiFi types are 802.11 a/b/g.
The 8820 will sell for $299.99 with a 2-year agreement including a rebate on the phone. The 8820 also supports the AT&T music store, eMusic, and XM Radio.
