Canon will start in Europe to sell the LaserBase MF5650 all-in-one Laser based Printer.

Most all-in-one printers (Printer, Scanner, Copier, Fax) are still ink based. I hate ink printers in general, there are always issues, when I want to print something. The new generation of multifunction laser printers are targeted for small offices or power users.
The Canon MF5650 features printing with 18 ppm/cpm and a resolution of 1200x600 dpi. The color scanner has a resolution of 1200 x 2400 dpi (48/24-bit). The fax sends up to 3 pages per second. The new Canon printer connects via USB 2.0. Important is also the simple maintainance with the All-in-One cartridge, containing toner and all essential parts. The
