Palm launched a new Smartphone in America today called the Centro. The Centro has a 320 x 320 resolution screen with 16-bit color and runs Palm OS 5.4.9. The phone is a dual-band CDMA2000 EvDO backwards compatible unit that also features Bluetooth 1.2.
There is 64MB of onboard memory and the camera is 1.3 megapixels with 2x digital zoom lens and video capture capability. Power comes from a rechargeable lithium-ion battery with 3.5 hours of talk time or up to 300 hours of standby time.
Memory expansion is via microSD card and up to 4GB is supported. The phone is 4.22-inches L x 2.11-inches W x 0.73-inches D and weighs 4.2 ounces. The phone supports Windows XP, Vista and Mac OS X 10.2 – 10.4.
