Fans of Star Trek are probably already aware that J.J Abrams, the dude behind Alias, is preparing a new big screen Trek movie. Rumors are coming in that J.J. may be looking at Mike Vogel to play Capitan Kirk in the film.
Sci Fi is reporting that the rumor is unconfirmed at this time. Vogel is in the Abrams film code-named Cloverfield scheduled to launch in January.
Sci Fi is also reporting that Spock will be played by Zachary Quinto from Heroes, Zoe Saldana as Uhuru, and Anton Yelchin as Pavel Chekov. The new Trek film is looking at wide release on Christmas Day 2008.
