JL Audio is now shipping the Gotham home theater Subwoofer to dealers. This behemoth subwoofer is 34.13-inches tall x 21.50-inches wide x 24-inches deep and weight 360 pounds. The MSRP is as big as the dimensions of the sub at $11,000.
A pair of JL Audio’s best 13.5-inch subwoofers is featured inside each Gotham subwoofer. The speakers use a patented 4-inch peak-to-peak excursion envelope optimized for the Gotham system.
Driving the Gotham is an amplifier with a massive 3800 watts of output. The Gotham subwoofer is built in six stages at JL Audio’s Florida plant. Other features of the sub include a backlit volume knob, variable slope, variable frequency low-pass filer, variable phase control, polarity switch, extreme low frequency trim control and fully automatic room equalization system called A.R.O..
