Apple started to sell the new iPod touch today in Japan. About 100 people had lined-up in front of the Apple store in Tokyo when the doors opened at 10am.
The first hard-core Japanese iPod fan had been standing there since 1:30am. I did not hear of any lines in the U.S. for the iPod touch. Of course people went crazy over the iPhone back in the Summer.
Apple announced the iPhone without the phone part on September 5th. The iPod touch sells from the Apple store and also for instance on Amazon.com.
Photos and details on Watch Impress (Japanese).
