Gateway announced new products today and the first is a new notebook PC called the Gateway P-6301 Notebook PC. The system has an Intel Pentium Dual Core T2310 processor, a 17-inch 1440 x 900 LCD and uses the Intel GL960 chipset.

Other features of the notebook include 1GB of DDR2 RAM, Intel Graphics Media accelerator X3100, and a 160GB hard drive. The optical drive is an 8x multi-format dual layer DVD burner with Lableflash technology.

A 5-in-1 card reader is built in and 802.11g WiFi is onboard. The battery is a 6-cell 2600 mAh lithium ion battery and the operating system is Windows Vista Home Premium. The weight is 8.34 pounds and the notebook will be available on October 14 for $799.99.
