Automakers envision Combination of Robotics and cars in the Future

Automotive design studios in Southern California predict what cars will look like in 50 years as part of the fourth annual Los angles Auto show’s design challenge. Eight studios including Audi, GM, Honda, Mazda, Mercedes, Nissan, Toyota, and Volkswagen created design concept cars envisioning the RoboCar of 2057.

The entered designs are two dimensional drawings and concept descriptions predicting how artificial intelligence will integrate into the automobile to make it safe, more convenient and more attractive.

The coolest concepts in the challenge to me are the Honda One to the Power of four (pictured), Mercedes Sliverflow, and the Biomobila Mecha from Toyota. If they hurry, we geeks may be able to drive cars like these in our lifetimes.
