Sales of the Sony PS3 jumped 178% in the UK last week.
Update:
Now that more detailed sales data is available, it seems the PS3 sales surge can mostly be attributed to the 60GB Sony PS3. More details on PSPSPS.
The 40GB Sony PS3 sells for £299.99 and the 60GB PS3 console got the new reduced price of £349.99 in the UK. Still Sony could not beat the Nintendo DS sales numbers for last week. Via GameDaily.
The U.S. still has no details on when Sony will start selling the 40GB Sony PS3. There is enough evidence that it will happen.
Japan already got their 40GB PS3 details and on top of that a white PS3 option.
You can buy the Sony PS3 consoles at Amazon UK.
