Canon Announces Two New Large Format Printers

Canon announced a pair of new large format printers today called the imagePROGRAF iPF9100 and iPF8100. Both printers use Canon’s twelve-color ink system with LUCIA pigments including four monochrome inks.

The iPF9100 can print 60-inch wide images and the iPF8100 prints 44-inch wide images. Both printers also support Kyuanos color management technology. The reformulated inks prevent bronzing of colors that happens when viewing at angles.

Compatibility for the printers is with both Windows and Mac systems. The iPF9100 and iPF8100 printers will both be available in November 2007 at $14,995 and $5,995 respectively.
