Asus slowly comes forward with more details on the Asus Eee PC launch and availability in the United States.
Last week Asus introduced the Asus Eee PC's four configurations, stated the pricing of the Asus Eee and started selling the Eee PC in Taiwan.
Asus now confirms on their Asus Eee PC site that the United States will get Asus Eee PC with pre-installed Microsoft Windows by the end of this year.
How the pre-installed Windows Eee PC will be priced is still unknown. There is also no definite answer on when the Linux Asus Eee PC will begin shipping state site.
Asus claims that sales of the Asus Eee PC are off to a great start, selling an Eee PC every 2 seconds the first minutes. The numbers are from a TV sales channel, but are not really worth anything as they just counted 200 Eee PCs sold in the first 20 min.
There were obviously at least 200 early adopters in Taiwan.

The only other information we have is that NewEgg and Best Buy will be offering the Asus Eee PC in the U.S.
