Philips looks 5 years into the future at the Philips Simplicity Event at London’s Earls Court 2 exhibition.
Philips developed future design concepts focusing on caring for people’s wellness from three perspectives – caring for guests, caring for families and caring for patients.
The family oriented future concept is dubbed 'Celebrating Pregnancy' and outlines a pregnancy scenario for the future. Philips wants to make the hospital environments more cozy and family friendly.
'Ambient Healing Space' is a hospital scenario for the future. Imagine a hospital room that feels more like a hotel suite than a medical ward, and where the focus is on comfort and service.
The third future concept is dubbed 'Daylight' and is a hotel scenario for the future. Philips applies technology that will empower customers and provide them with better, more comfortable surroundings in which to relax and re-energize after a long journey.
Lots of background information and a video about the 2007 Philips Simplicity Event are available on the Philips site.
