Asus is apparently working on a desktop version of its Asus Eee PC Linux notebook.
Jonathan Tseng, president of marketing at Asustek said to Digitimes that the company is working on a PC with display to be available in 2008.
Specifications and design of the Asus Eee desktop PC are still in flux.
I could imagine the Asus Eee desktop could be a low-cost all-in-one design like the Apple iMac or Gateway One. Such a low-cost stylish Linux powered computer could be an interesting option for consumers.
Currently Asus is selling the Asus Eee PC 4G Linux notebook with 7 inch display. The lower priced Eee PC 2G Surf is expected to hit the market in 2008 in spring colors.
