The Sony PS3 has now been on the market one year in the United States. At the same time Sony reached an important milestone in their home turf by surpassing the Nintendo Wii last week in sales.
The price-cut, the new white and black 40GB PS3 consoles and the new Dualshock 3 controllers can be named as reasons for the sales spur.
In the United States the Nintendo Wii is still in the lead by a sizable margin. The Wii sold about 519,000 units during October and the Sony PS3 only 121,000 times.
