Amazon launched their e-book reader Kindle on Monday. PVI is the supplier of the display in Kindle. PVI (Prime View International) also supplies the e-paper display for the Sony Reader.
The 6 inch PVI display the Amazon Kindle uses has a resolution of 600×800px at 167ppi and 4-level gray scale.
PVI plans to roll out a 16-gray and color e-Paper in 2008. More details on Digitimes.
PVI is also in other news today, the company is apparently buying the Hydis LCD Plant.
