NewEgg started offering the lower end Asus Eee PC 4G Surf for $349.99.
For the $50 less you have to pay for the Asus Eee PC 4G you have to do without the integrated video camera and the more powerful batteries.
The Asus Eee PC 4G Surf battery only holds for 2.8 hours, where the Asus Eee PC 4G battery holds for 3.5 hours. The Asus Eee PC 4G Surf is currently only selling in black on NewEgg.
The $299 Asus Eee 2G Surf might not be going on sale this year as Asus is apparently offering that one in spring colors early next year. But who knows. The Asus Eee PC models just appear out of nowhere without a definite release schedule published by Asus.
In Germany many retailers have already posted shipping dates for the Asus Eee PC 4G, the earliest is January 2008. Asus is apparently missing some Holidays there.
We still have to go by the information that Asus released in October about the 4 planned Asus Eee PC models.
