TiVo Now Available in Canada

Commercial hating Canadians can now get TiVo service. TiVo announced today that its service is now available in Canada with the exception of Quebec for some reason. The DVRs are due to be on store shelves in time for the holiday season.

Canadian users will have access to SeasonPass recordings, WishList searches, Online Scheduling, TiVoToGo transfers, and multi-room viewing. "We've received overwhelming demand from Canadian consumers who want access to TiVo's innovative products and services and we are extremely excited to be able to deliver our highly-successful TiVo Series2 Dual Tuner DVR to this key strategic marketplace -- just in time for the holidays," said Joshua Danovitz, Vice President and GM of International at TiVo. "TiVo's move into Canada represents a natural, important progression for our business as we continue to make sustained progress across international markets."

TiVo Series2 dual-tuner DVRs will be available in early December from Best Buy, The Brick, London Drug, and Future Shop for $199 CAD plus standard TiVo subscription costs.
