Playboy Picks the Hottest Cars of 2008

Playboy has announced it's list of the hottest cars of 2008. Playboy says the cars were chosen by an expert team of automotive journalists. The list will be featured in the January issue of the magazine.

The 2008 car of the year according to Playboy is the sweet Audi R8 with its 4.2-liter V8 putting out 420 bhp. The best luxury sports coupe is the Maserati GranTurismo featuring 405 bph. Playboy says the smartest purchase was the Smart Fortwo, which has to be one of the ugliest cars around.

The best sports sedan was the Cadillac CTS and the best SUV was the Land Rover LR2. The best crossover was the Buick Enclave CXL, the best convertible the BMW 335i, and the best earth day car is the MB E320 Bluetec. Rounding out the list Playboy says the best pint-size performance car is the Volvo C30.
