The BBC News reports that Nintendo is apparently thinking about not running Wii TV commercials in the UK. Why? Because Nintendo cannot meet the demand anyway. So why advertise?
Nintendo now expects to have sold 17.5 million Wii consoles worldwide by March 2008. The company had forecasted only 14 million.
We reported this weekend that the wholesale price of the Wii our I4U Shop is getting in the U.S. is way higher than it was a year ago.
The Wii price from 3rd party shops on Amazon.com has risen again since last weekend. We have still seen sales through Amazon, where customers just bite the bullet and buy the Wii console for more than double it's actual price.
Nintendo still says it is doing everything possible and produces 1.8 million units per month, but that just isn't enough for the whole world.
