The top of the line Asus Eee PC 8G is finally on sale and ships. NewEgg sells the Asus Eee 8G for $499.99.
The Asus Eee PC 8G comes with an 8GB SSD and 1GB of RAM, integrated camera and the 3.5 hour battery.
The rumor a while ago that the Asus Eee PC 8G would have a 10 inch screen has not come through. The Asus Eee PC 8G has a 7 inch screen like the other Asus Eee PC models.
The Asus Eee 8G is $100 more expensive than the Asus Eee 4G and offers for that a 4GB larger solid state disk. This is actually a bit over priced. A 8GB iPod nano is only about $50 more expensive than 4GB iPod nano.
Still this is the best Asus Eee you can get right now without paying more than $499.99. There are many stores listing the 8G for above $500.
