Sonic the Hedgehog Available Now for iPod

When you think of the early days of console gaming a few characters and games come to mind like Pac Mac, Mario Brothers and Sonic the Hedgehog. Sega announced today that sonic the Hedgehog is now available for iPod.

The game was designed specifically for the iPod and from the looks of the screen shots graphics are as good as they were on the original Sega console back in the day.

The game is available now for $4.99 from the iTunes store. "Sonic The Hedgehog is one of the most beloved video game characters of all time," said Simon Jeffery, President and COO of SEGA of America, "And with the installed base that iPod enjoys Sonic now becomes available to a whole new group of casual and hardcore gamers just in the time for the holidays."
