The spring colored Asus Eee 2G PCs are already shipping and you can still get them before the 24th as last minute Christmas gifts.
The Asus Eee 2G PC in Sky Blue, Plush Pink, and Lush Green was expected for early 2008. Coming as a bit of surprise, retailers NewEgg and J & R have this colorful low-end Eee PC in stock and ready to ship for $299.99.
J & R suggests choosing UPS Second Day shipping for $15.46 to still get the Asus Eee 2G by the 24th. NewEgg also offers faster shipping options to get it by the 24th.
The Asus Eee 2G features a 2GB SSD, 512MB RAM, no camera, and the smaller 2.8h battery. The 2G is not for power users, but for casual surfing and emailing it is quite sufficient. Power users should either get the Asus Eee 4G or Asus Eee 8G.
